German. early 20C. Blade stamped ‘Bonza’ the trademark. Blade 4 inch (10cms). Made by Boentegen & Sabin. Germany (1867 – 1983). Rosewood with 2 position detachable blade. Lever lock is spring actuated (see small cutout on handle). Could be supplied by U J Ulery Co. NY. as 6 part pocket knife tool kit in leather pouch for 2.25$ in 1905. A 12 part compendium in a leather pouch was also available – pictured. The saw and knife blades in the compendiums were sheathed in a stainless steel cover engraved with measuring scale. 4.5 inches (11.5cms) x 3.75 inches (9.5cms).
